I had an opportunity to visit the Tautenburg Observatory in Germany near Jena and made this video out of it. They have a 2m Schmidt telescope built by Carl Zeiss with a 1,34m Schmidt corrector plate that makes it the largest telescope of its kind.

The telescope can operate in three different modes: Schmidt, Quasi-Cassegrain and Coudé). In the second part of this video you can see how the Schmidt configuration is changed into Coudé for some spectral observations. Therefore the Schmidt plate and CCD camera needs to be dismounted and then tertiary and secondary mirrors are installed. Finally the alignment of installed mirrors is verified while the telescope is driven in different positions.
